Education Worker – Wales

Show Racism the Red Card is an anti-racism educational charity.

Our aim is to combat racism through enabling role models, who are predominantly but not exclusively footballers, to present an anti-racism message to young people and society.

The post is involved in delivering workshops to young people and adults throughout Wales, working within the team to help organise anti-racism events, reporting, monitoring and evaluating the work of the team.

Due to some of the Welsh rural locations visited, candidates must have a full UK driving licence and access to a car/driver.

35 hours/week
Salary - NJC Scale 22 - 25 - £20,661 - £22,658
6% pension

Applicants must have:

·         Experience in a similar role including delivering workshops to young people and adults

·         Excellent communications skills; written, telephone and inter personal

·         Commitment to tackling racism and other forms of inequality

·         Ability to meet specific deadlines under pressure

·         Ability to work effectively as part of a team

·         Excellent computer skills

·         Ability to develop new educational ideas and activities

SRtRC offer good conditions of service including, flexible working hours, annual leave of 25 days rising with service, plus bank holidays and a group pension scheme.
