For me sometimes you have got to be professional, you have got to just try and blank it out and try and get on with it but at the end of the day I’m older, so it must be difficult for kids experiencing that because they’re younger and vulnerable. It’s difficult for them, but I would say you’ve got to speak to the teachers about it, and go home and talk to your parents, it’s not something you can blank out because it’s a serious thing – you don’t want to go to school and put up with stuff like that, you go to school to learn and try and get an education and not have to worry about people judging you just because of the colour of your skin.
